Overview

Change in the modern workplace is inevitable. Managers are tasked with the responsibility for cascading key messages to their teams. This workshop will explore how key messages can be best communicated and provide an opportunity to refresh their skills at communicating change messages effectively to engage people undergoing change. 

Content

By the end of this workshop, delegates will:

• Explore the key reasons for change how impending change can be positioned in an organisational context.
• Explore the barriers to engagement with change and how to overcome them.
• Have an understanding of the theory of change and how people react.
• Explore successful ways and tools to engage people in the change process and communicate it promptly; in clear, unambiguous ways and deal with questions sensitively and confidently.
• Have an opportunity to practice:
  • Cascading difficult change messages to staff.
  • Handling difficult questions from staff.
